Hi, I'm Ethan Lasnitzki, better known as DJ LAZ.

I'm a Melbourne-based DJ passionate about creating unforgettable events through great music and high energy. Whether it's a birthday, wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, school formal, sporting club function, corporate event or private party, my goal is simple—keep the dance floor full and make your event one to remember.

As a proud member of Melbourne's Jewish community, I love DJing Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and other Jewish celebrations, while also performing at a wide range of events across Melbourne. I tailor every playlist to suit the crowd, with everything from current hits, house and dance to R&B, throwbacks, classics, and Jewish and Israeli music. Song requests are always welcome.

Outside of DJing, I'm completing a Bachelor of Sport Management at Deakin University and have worked with organisations including Port Melbourne Football Club, Richmond Football Club, McKinnon Secondary College and the Australian Grand Prix. These experiences have strengthened my professionalism, organisation and attention to detail—qualities I bring to every event.

Every event is unique, so I take the time to understand your vision, favourite songs and the atmosphere you want to create. From the first track to the last, I'll read the crowd, adapt the music and make sure everyone has an amazing time.

DJ LAZ provides professional DJ entertainment, premium sound and lighting, a microphone and DJ booth, complete setup and pack-down, and services events across Melbourne.
